Business Papers and Minutes for Former Committees - from February 2006 to September 2009

Council  adopted a new Standing Committee structure at its meeting on Tuesday, 15 September 2009.  The new structure takes effect from the October 2009 meetings.  Below is a list of former Standing Committees with list of the matters referred to these Committees.

• Development and Environmental Services (DES) Committee
  The Development and Environmental Services Committee dealt with building and development consents, approvals and the like; local environmental plans, development control plans, local approval policies, non-statutory planning, building and development codes, policies and the like; environmental services; and monitoring services, including orders and notices relating to unlawful building work and development.
  
   Community Services Committee
  The Community Services Committee dealt with matters relating to children's services; community relations and facilities; community development; and library services.
   
• Corporate Services Committee
  The Corporate Services Committee dealt with matters relating to finance; employee services; administrative services; information systems; and legal services.
   
• Technical Services Committee
  The Technical Services Committee dealt with matters relating to Engineering Services, Property Services (including waste management); Parks & Reserves; and Business Units (Public Works).
