The interagency is funded by the NSW Department of Community Services. The broad aim and objective of the strategy is to work through a co-ordinated network of agencies to build the capacity of parents and carers to raise children.
Council also sponsors the Inner West Families NSW Learning and Development program to offer professional development and support to child and family workers across the Inner West Families NSW area, which incorporates the local government areas of Ashfield, Burwood, Canada Bay, Canterbury, Leichhardt, Marrickville, Strathfield, and the suburb of Glebe.
