Marrickville Council holds the annual Sustainable Water Showcase as part of the Cooks River Festival, now called SUSTAIN - Cooks River Eco Fest. The event is held in April at Steel Park Marrickville South, and will be on Sunday 19 April in 2009. SUSTAIN - Cooks River Eco Fest aims to celebrate the natural environment and promote the principles of environmental and cultural sustainability.
The purpose of the Sustainable Water Showcase is to demonstrate new developments in Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), water harvesting and pollution-control techniques and technologies, as well as promote water efficiency and retrofitting. Attractions include information stalls and displays, demonstrations, workshops and presentations, as well as a range of entertainment, children’s activities, arts and delicious food.
If you are interested in holding your own stall outside of the Sustainable Water Showcase at SUSTAIN - Cooks River Eco Fest 2009, please write to event@marrickville.nsw.gov.au.
Sponsorship opportunities are available and will include considerable promotional benefits.
