Sustainable Water Demonstration Sites
Marrickville Council is committed to demonstrating sustainable water management to the community and is currently working on a number of projects involving water sensitive urban design, water conservation, water reuse and harvesting.

- Addison Road Children's Centre, Marrickville – rainwater harvesting
- Cavendish Street Children's Centre, Stanmore – rainwater harvesting
- Deborah Little Children's Centre, Dulwich Hill – rainwater harvesting

- Marrickville Community Nursery – rainwater harvesting, drought tolerant gardens

- Tempe Lands – leachate treatment plant and constructed wetlands
