Library services for children

Marrickville library service provides a large selection of children's books, music CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs, videos, talking books, and kits (books and cassettes or CDs) for loan. Marrickville Library Service's collection caters for pre-schoolers, beginner readers and young children.

Homework Help

Homework Help is designed to assist students from Years 3 to 12 during school terms. Bookings are not required; just turn up with your homework or essay/assignment. The program does not provide one to one intensive tutoring, but focuses on homework assistance in a group setting.

We also offer an online homework help program called yourtutor.

 

Chess & Checkers

Chess & Checkers Club meets every Friday during school term from 3.30pm to 4.30pm at Marrickville Library.


Summer Reading Club

Ensuring your child keeps reading during the summer holidays we have a Summer Reading Club.  There are prizes to win and a party to attend.  Our summer Reading Club starts on 1 December each year.

Services for schools and child care centres

A bulk loan service is available on a regular cycle and materials are delivered to schools/centres to supplement their available resources.
