Council offers the Home Library Service to people in the community who are unable to visit the library because of chronic illness, frailty, disability, or because of temporary confinement to home (due to illness or other reasons). A signed statement or certificate from a doctor, nursing sister, or social worker needs to be supplied when joining the service.
The Home Library Service Officer records your individual reading and listening preferences, and selects material from the library's collections for delivery to you monthly.
Materials include books, talking books, compact discs, DVDs, magazines, large print books. Some materials are also available in community languages.
The service is free and available to people living within the Marrickville Local Government Area.
For further information please contact the Home Library Service Officer on 9335 2134, or e-mail the Home Library Service.
