Petersham Town Hall and Marrickville Town Hall, both in Sydney's Inner West, are two of the finest wedding venues in Sydney and are available for hire at reasonable rates.

Both Petersham and Marrickville Town Hall each has a grand entry, large foyers, a sprung wooden dance floor, tables, chairs, large kitchens and dressing rooms, and are close to parks and public transport. These venues are ideal for formal and informal celebrations, and can be configured to suit up to 525 people at a sit-down dinner dance. Wheelchair access is from the front.

Weddings from diverse cultural backgrounds have taken place in these magnificent town halls, which are easily accessible from most parts of Sydney.

Marrickville Town HallMarrickville Town Hall

303 Marrickville Road, Marrickville

Marrickville Town Hall opened in 1922, and was at the time the second-largest venue in Sydney after Sydney Town Hall. The main hall features a wooden parquetry floor, high ornate ceilings and wood panelling. The venue's heritage architecture is an elegant backdrop for weddings, balls, exhibitions, fundraising events and celebrations.

Hall hire includes free use of the 550 chairs, 70 rectangular tables, kitchen equipment, and foyer.  Self-catering is accepted and no additional surcharges apply.

Petersham Town Hall is a renowned art-deco building which opened in July 1938. It has a sprung wooden dance floor, widely credited as one of Sydney's best dance floors, and walls with a decorative paint finish above polished maple lower panels.

Hall hire includes free use of the 460 chairs, 70 rectangular tables, kitchen equipment, and foyer.  Self-catering is accepted and no additional surcharges apply.
