Tips for avoiding theft from cars
Marrickville Council has delivered a innovative program to address theft from motor vehicles in the area following a grant from the NSW Attorney General's Department Crime Prevention.
The project was in collaboration with Marrickville and Newtown Local Area Commands and implemented an education campaign and the application of "Crime Prevention through Environmental Design", a design approach used to create environments promoting resident safety and securities, to reduce steal from motor vehicle offences.
Facts sheets detailing crime prevention tips you can take to ensure you are not a victim of steal from motor vehicle are available. The fact sheets are available as a download or hard copy and in community languages.
