Computer Access

Council libraries offer free community access to computers for Internet and word processing use.

  • Internet
    Library members can book internet terminals in all branches.  There is a limit of 1 hour per person per day.  Bookings can be made in the library or by phone.
  • Wireless
    Library members can access the internet in Marrickville Library using their wireless enabled laptop, mobile phone or Personal Data Assistant (PDA) via the Library's wireless network.  2 hour sessions are available upon request from the General Desk at Marrickville Library only.
  • Word Processing & Spreadsheets
    Access to word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet (MS Excel) software in English and other languages eg. Greek, Chinese and Vietnamese is also available.
     
  • Online Databases
    Acces commerical online resources, including databases and e-books for research, reference and study support.
     
  • RTA
    Access RTA online driver demonstration knowledge tests.
     

Express Internet Terminals

Computer access is available for library members only. However, at Marrickville library (only),  there are 20 minute express internet terminals available for members and non members.

Booking Information

These facilities must be booked prior to use, and are subject to certain rules of use.  There is a limit of 1 hour per person per day.
