Marrickville Council Grants
Council offers a range of community grants each year to assist local community groups and projects. Non-profit community organisations and services are invited to apply for funding for projects that meet the social needs of residents in the Marrickville area.
Applications for this year's grant programs will open on Wednesday 1 May 2013 and close on Wednesday 29 May 2013 at 5pm.

Information sessions
Council will host two information sessions during the application period. These information sessions will each cover the same material, and will be relevant to all of the grant programs listed above.

Arts and Cultural Grants
Arts and cultural projects that contribute to the Marrickville local government area. Funding of $1,000–$7,500 per project is available for each program. For full details visit the following page:
Independent Artist Grants
This grants program encourages local emerging artists to maintain an independent arts practice. These grants may be suitable for applicants staging a Sydney Fringe Festival performance.
Funding of $1,000–$5,000 per project is available for each program.
Community Grants
Community based projects, which build social capital, sustainability and active citizenship, and achieve value for money for Council and local residents. Funding from $500–$5,000. For full details visit the following page:
Sustainability Grants
The Sustainability Small Grants are available for projects that make a positive contribution to sustainability within the Marrickville local government area. Most grants are up to $500, with two grants per year of up to $4000 available. For full details visit the following page:
VISY Community Grants
The VISY Community Grants are available for projects that contribute to environmental sustainability, the arts and the Marrickville local government area. Funding of $500–$5,000 per project is availble. For full details visit the following page:
Recreation Grants
The Marrickville Recreation Grants Program provides financial support to community sporting and recreation groups, and not-for-profit, non-government community recreation organisations that offer recreation programs and services to residents in the Marrickville local government area. ClubGRANTS Scheme
Community based projects, which improve the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people and are designed to ensure that larger registered clubs in NSW contribute to the provision of welfare and front-line services to their local communities. A maximum of $25,000 available for individual projects.
