Council Management

Council's senior management team:

  • General Manager, Brian Barrett
    Responsible for the short and long term strategies of Council as well as the everyday operations of Council.
     
  • Director of Community Services, Simone Schwarz
    Responsible for communications and cultural services, community development, children and family services, community facilities and recreation services, libraries and the history program.
     
  • Director of Corporate Services (currently vacant)
    Responsible for administration, legal matters, finances, people and workforce, information technology, and occupational health & safety.
     
  • Director of Planning and Environmental Services (currently vacant)
    Responsible for strategic land use planning, heritage, environmental management, all development applications and constructions certificates, fire safety and food safety.
     
  • Director of Infrastructure Services, Neil Strickland
    Responsible for roads and footpaths, drainage facilities, parks, reserves and sports facilities, waste and recycling services, commercial properties, depots, car parks and business units.
