Draft Marrickville Development Control Plan (MDCP) 2011 Amendment No.1
Council has recently publically exhibited the Draft MLEP 2011 Amendment No.1 and Draft MDCP 2011 Amendment No.1 from Tuesday 25 September 2012 to Friday 26 October 2012. Submissions have now closed, however a copy of the Draft MDCP 2011 Amendment No.1 can be downloaded here (large file, 22MB, PDF).
The Development Control Plan (MDCP) 2011 commenced on Thursday 15 December 2011, when it was advertised in the local newspapers. The MDCP 2011 is a new comprehensive Plan which consolidates all of Council's existing DCPs into one document. The MDCP comprises nine parts addressing:
- Development Application Guidelines
- Statutory Information
- Generic Provisions (relating to landscaping, car parking, fencing etc.)
- Subdivision, Amalgamation and Movement Networks
- Residential Development
- Commercial and Mixed Use Development
- Industrial Development
- Miscellaneous Development
- Heritage
- Strategic Context (Planning Precincts)
These parts contain controls which must be considered in the planning and design of any new development, from alteration and additions to a dwelling house, to new industrial buildings or shop top housing in town centres.
