Environmental Management SystemIn order to minimise and manage the risk of Council's activities impacting on the environment, an integrated OH&S and Environmental Management System (EMS) has been operated since 2003. Council staff are trained so that they carry out their work with minimal impact on the local or surrounding environment. This EMS is based on the ISO 14000 standard and covers all aspects of Council's operations including:
