Australia Day Celebrations at Enmore Park

Sunday 26 January 2014

This outdoor festival at Enmore Park, Enmore, features free live entertainment, information and international food stalls, plenty of kids' rides and activities, a citizenship ceremony, and concludes with a spectacular fireworks display.

International Women's Day

March 2014

Marrickville Council commemorates International Women's Day annually with a local event celebrating the role of women in public life. The 2011 event was a celebratory afternoon, complete with a 'Village Green' theme, that honoured women's contributions to 150 years of local governance and community, as well as the importance of sustainable living, accessibility, and equality.

Bairro Português Petersham Food & Wine Fair

This vibrant street festival features free contemporary and traditional Portuguese-themed entertainment, and food, wine and information stalls at Audley and Fisher Streets, Petersham.

Celebrate 2044

Sunday 19 May 2013, 11am–4pm

The inaugural Celebrate 2044 – St Peters, Sydenham and Tempe's own community fair – celebrates all that is on offer in the local community with a relaxed picnic style event on the greens at Tillman Park. In partnership with the local community, businesses and schools, this new event will feature entertainment, local produce from postcode 2044 and activities for the whole family.

Open Marrickville

Open Marrickville is an eleven day festival celebrating multiculturalism through storytelling, music, dance, art, theatre, food, and simply gathering together. The festival takes place in a variety of locations across the Marrickville area. These activities are organised by local community groups, schools and community organisations, with support from Marrickville Council through a grants program.
