Setting Up a Community Shed – the story of Marrickville Men's Shed

Tuesday, May 21 2013, 10am – 12 noon

Ever wondered about Men's Sheds? Ever wanted a women's shed, or an open shed? Maybe you just need a place to tinker. Join Michael Greensmith and other Sheddees from the Marrickville Men's Shed to discuss the fuss about sheds.

Hosted by The Bower Reuse & Repair Centre, the Marrickville Men's Shed have refurbished the community workshop using only reuse materials. Hear how they started, see some of their projects and learn simple tips for reusing and recycling second hand materials. You'll be inspired to try your own reuse projects at home.

This is a great opportunity to meet other handy locals interested in community sheds and perhaps start something great!

Warning: This is the kind of session that will leave your fingers itchy to build something!

Marketing Masterclass: How to promote your sustainable actions

Wednesday 22 May, 6pm – 8pm
