Draft Marrickville Local Environment Plan (MLEP) 2011 Amendment No.1

Council has recently publically exhibited the Draft MLEP 2011 Amendment No.1 and Draft MDCP 2011 Amendment No.1 from Tuesday 25 September 2012 to Friday 26 October 2012. Submissions have now closed, however a copy of the Draft MLEP 2011 Amendment No.1 can be downloaded here (large file, 20MB, PDF). The amendments are currently awaiting approval by the Minister of Planning and Infrastructure. Once the amendments are approved they will be gazetted and become enforceable within the Marrickville LGA.


The Marrickville Local Environmental Plan (MLEP) 2011 came info force by a special notification from the NSW Government on Monday 12 December 2011. This repeals the former Marrickville Local Environmental Plan 2001.

Background to the Marrickville LEP 2011

The Marrickville LEP 2011 is a legal document that sets the direction for future growth in the local government area (LGA) by providing controls and guidelines for development. It determines what can be built, where it can be built and what activities can occur on land.
