How to Pay Rates

By MasterCard, Visa or American Express card (1% transaction fee applies):
- Online: Through our secure online ePayments system.
- Online: Using Australia Post's Postbillpay service.
- In person at Marrickville Council Customer Service Centre, 2-14 Fisher Street, Petersham
- Over the phone: dial 13 18 16 (Postbillpay) and follow the prompts.
- Over the phone: dial 1300 493 666 (BPOINT) and follow the prompts.
By cash or via EFTPOS (cheque or savings accounts):
- In person at Marrickville Council Customer Service Centre, 2-14 Fisher Street, Petersham
- In person at any Australia Post office
By Internet banking:
- BPay accepted, but only via cheque or savings accounts.
By Commonwealth Bank deposit:
- Payment can be made at any branch of the Commonwealth Bank. Complete the details on the Bank deposit slip on the front of the rates notice. The Bank will stamp the top portion and return it to you as a receipt. You do not need to hold an account with the Commonwealth Bank.
By cheque:
- Make cheque payable to Marrickville Council and crossed "Not Negotiable". You can present this together with the Rates notice in person to the Customer Service Centre, 2-14 Fisher Street, Petersham, or you can mail payment with the Rates notice to: Marrickville Council, PO Box 14, PETERSHAM NSW 2049.
- In person at any Australia Post office. Present this together with the Rates notice.
Direct Debit:
- Only for existing Direct Debit agreements already in place.
