Energy
Heating water for washing and bathing is the biggest user of energy in NSW homes. Rebates for solar, heat pump and 5 star gas hot water systems are provided by the NSW Government while the Australian Federal Government is providing financial incentives for solar and heat pump hot water systems.

Rainwater tank rebates are offered by Marrickville Council. These rebates can significantly offset the costs of purchase and installation.
