Recreation in Marrickville

RecreationCouncil works to provide accessible and appropriate leisure and recreational opportunities for the Marrickville community through our Community Facilities and Recreation program.

Through local leisure programs and facilities including the Debbie and Abbey Borgia Recreation Centre, local aquatic facilities and the various community halls, Council aims to encourage participation in the various recreational activities available in Marrickville.

    The Recreation Needs Research – Strategic Directions for Marrickville report comprises the most comprehensive independent research and consultation project undertaken by Council into recreation needs, facilities and services in the local area since 1993. It provides Council with an important tool for effective recreation financial and infrastructure planning.
