This is a building that now holds Aboriginal Hostels Pty Ltd. Aboriginal Hostels Pty Ltd provides accommodation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who need to leave their home communities to further their education.

According to Lester Bostock, the building was originally a rehabilitation clinic for Aboriginal people called Bennelong Haven. Bennelong Haven was started in the 1960s by Val Bryant.

Aboriginal Hostels Limited is of importance to the local Aboriginal community because of the help it has provided to Aboriginal people as well as allowing them self-determination since it is run by Aboriginal people.
