NAIDOC Week Celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Everybody in the community is invited to join us in celebrating NAIDOC Week with the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people of Marrickville.

An action-packed schedule of cultural activities including traditional dance lessons with the Yidaki Didg and Dance group, bush tucker classes, totem pole painting, plays and stories. Children's art at Marrickville Library and branch libraries
Marrickville Library Service will be hosting a display of children's art work and stories from our local schools throughout NAIDOC Week 2008. Marrickville, Dulwich Hill, Stanmore and St Peters/Sydenham libraries will all have a selection on display. The theme for the art work and stories is "A whole new page, a whole new book". This art project has been organised by Marrickville Residents for Reconciliation.
