Access and Mobility

Council has prepared an Access and Mobility Kit which supplements the planning controls contained in DCP No. 31 - Equity of Access and Mobility.

The kit provides some explanation on the DCP, and emphasises major issues required for the preparation of development applications involving access and mobility provisions.

The kit contains separate sheets to be used individually, or as a complete package, and covers the following topics:

• a leader in access and mobility issues;
• a major social objective;
• the legal implications;
• what you need to know about DCP No. 31 for Equity of Access and Mobility;
• making an application;
• steps in processing DDA statement of consistency;
• what you need to know about Unjustifiable Hardship;
• design concepts;
• maintaining access; and
• referral numbers.
