Supported Programs and Agencies
Council sponsors the Child and Family Interagency - a network of agencies that provide services for families and children 0 to eight years old in the Marrickville and Leichhardt local government areas and the suburb of Glebe.

The interagency is part of Families NSW - a Government early intervention and prevention strategy to help parents give their children (0-8 years) a good start in life. The interagency is funded by the NSW Department of Community Services. The broad aim and objective of the strategy is to work through a co-ordinated network of agencies to build the capacity of parents and carers to raise children.

Council also sponsors the Inner West Families NSW Learning and Development program to offer professional development and support to child and family workers across the Inner West Families NSW area, which incorporates the local government areas of Ashfield, Burwood, Canada Bay, Canterbury, Leichhardt, Marrickville, Strathfield, and the suburb of Glebe.
