Marrickville Seniors Reference Group

In 2001, Council established the Seniors' Reference Group. The Group provides direct feedback on Council plans and initiatives as well as input on seniors' activities in the local area.

The role of the Seniors Reference Group is to:

• assist Council in planning, developing and evaluating policy, services and activities relevant to older citizens in the Marrickville Local Government Area;
• consult with the local community and to advise Council on the implications of issues concerning older people in the region; and
• maintain the lines of communication between Council, senior citizens and the general community of the Marrickville area.
