Community Grants Program

Non-profit community organisations and services are invited to apply for funding for projects that meet the social needs of residents in the Marrickville Local Government Area. There are two separate funding sources available, Marrickville Council's Community Grants Program and the Community Development and Support Expenditure (CDSE) scheme. Organisations are encouraged to apply for both grants schemes.

Applications from not-for-profit community groups for Council's Community Grants Program and the Local CDSE Scheme will open on Wednesday 28 May 2008 and close at 5pm on Wednesday 2 July 2008.

An online submission form will be posted here shortly. Alternatively, applicants may wish to download the Excel application form and save a copy to their computer to complete. A copy can then be printed and submitted before the closing date.

Two information sessions will be held in the Amenities Room, Petersham Town Hall, 107 Crystal Street, Petersham on Wednesday 11 June 2008 from 1-2pm and again from 6-7pm. Both sessions will provide the same information.

Council Community Grants Program

Marrickville Council's Community Grants Program aims to provide financial support to non-profit, community based organisations for new projects that benefit residents of the Marrickville Local Government Area. The maximum amount available for individual projects is $5,000.

Community Development and Support Expenditure (CDSE) Scheme

The CDSE Scheme aims to improve the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people and is designed to ensure that larger registered clubs in NSW contribute to:

• the provision of front-line services to their local communities; and
• the welfare and broader social fabric of the local community.
