Marrickville Cultural Festival Grants ProgramMarrickville Council is calling for applications for the Marrickville Cultural Festival Grants Program. Funding is provided for projects which are held in September, open to the public, and which contribute towards the program of events for the Marrickville Cultural Festival. The Marrickville Council Marrickville Cultural Festival Grants Program provides financial support to artists working in any art form; community and cultural groups; and not-for-profit, non-government arts, community and cultural organisations that offer programs and services of benefit to residents in the Marrickville local government area. The key objectives of the Marrickville Cultural Festival Grants Program are to:
Applications must be for specific projects for one-off funding. Funding of $1,000 to $5,000 is available for projects. Council reserves the right to determine the level of funding for an application. How can I apply?Applications are open from Monday 1 June to Monday 22 June 2009. Applications for a grant must be made on the appropriate Application Form which is available from the Council Administration Building and can be downloaded from Council's Website. Council will also hold an information session on this funding opportunity in the Amenities Room, Petersham Town Hall, 107 Crystal Street, Petersham on Wednesday 10 June from 6pm - 7pm.
