Councillor Rae Owen is in her second term at Marrickville Council as a member of South Ward.
Rae is a resident of Tempe and her ties with the area goes back four generations.
Flowers are a passion of Rae's with her working as a florist and teaching floristry at a Sydney Community College for seven years.
As well as working with the community as a Councillor and as a florist, Rae is the mother of an 18-year-old.
Rae has always been dedicated to community services and whilst on Council has worked with committees that bring her closer to the issues of the area that she committed to improving even further.
As a member elected to Council for the Australian Labor Party (ALP) Rae has a great deal of faith in the ALP delivering community services to people that need them particularly when these services assist in keeping communities and families together.
