Main Areas of Employment
Council provides employment opportunities across a wide range of areas. There are jobs for people who like working outdoors to create a better environment, jobs working with people of different ages and cultural backgrounds and jobs planning services that will shape the community in the future.
Council is divided into 4 major business areas:

Community Services Communication and cultural services, community development, family and children's services, recreation and libraries

Corporate Services Administration, legal, finance, human resources and information technology

Development and Environmental Services Health and building inspections, environmental monitoring, town planning and strategic planning

Technical Services Engineering and civil works, maintenance, property management, landscaping, waste and recycling, parks reserves
