Applications for parking permits now accepted online

As a part of Council's commitment to delivering innovative and environmentally sustainable services, we have recently launched an online parking permit application process, making it even easier to apply for your parking permit. Applications submitted online will be processed and mailed to your nominated postal address within 1 business day.

  • Parking permit areas
    Residents and businesses can apply for parking permits if they live in one of the designated parking permit areas (conditions apply). This allows exemptions from sign posted time limits.
     
  • Types of parking permits
    Information on the types of parking permits available – including permits for residents, resident's visitors, businesses, resident's personal carers and trades.
     
  • Accessible parking
    If you hold a Mobility Parking Scheme Permit issued by NSW Roads and Maritime Services, you are eligible to park in additional spaces and for longer than in other spaces. Mobility Parking Scheme Permit holders can also apply for an accessible parking space near their residence (subject to conditions).
     
  • Car share
    Marrickville Council has supported car sharing since 2007 as part of a holistic approach to encouraging more sustainable modes of travel and reducing over-dependency on the private car.
