Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre

The refurbished Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre opened to the public on Sunday 27 October 2013 (Fanny Durack's 124th birthday), when over 1,500 people took advantage of the free entry and carnival atmosphere.

The day featured games for the children, a waterslide in the main pool, free barbecue, coffee, birthday cake, and ice creams.

Marrickville Council began refurbishments at the Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre (FDAC) in November 2012. The refurbishment included an upgrade of the pools, infrastructure, landscaping and construction of a new entry, kiosk and toilets. The main pool was built to a new length of 25 metres, bringing it into line with FINA (international body for swimming) standards.

Visit the Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre website for information on pool opening hours and facilities.
