Council is celebrating National Tree Day at Steel Park in Cooks River Corridor, one of Council's seven priority biodiversity areas.
Come along and help with planting local native trees, shrubs, grasses, ferns and groundcovers propagated at Council's Community Nursery on Sunday 31 July 2016 from 10am to 12 noon.
The newly revegetated area will connect into existing native vegetation providing food and shelter for birds, microbats, insects and reptiles.
Everyone is welcome. Council staff will provide refreshments, snacks, gloves and trowels. Wear covered shoes and comfortable clothes that you don't mind planting in!
Council is also giving away advanced trees as part of this event.
