Borrowing opportunities

Library members have access to an extensive collection of resources and can borrow up to 40 items. There are no limits on the number of items you can borrow for each individual format (i.e. books, DVDs).

Loan period

  • Three weeks for all materials.
  • After-hours book return facilities are available at Marrickville, Emanuel Tsardoulias Community Library at Dulwich Hill, and Stanmore Libraries.
  • You can reserve an item that is already on loan to another member.

Renewals

Renewals can be made easily over the phone or online via My Account. There is a limit of two renewals per item to ensure fair access. Renewals can't be made on items that are reserved.

Swift Loans: Cross-library transfers and holds

Marrickville Library members can place holds on items held by any libraries shown on our online catalogue. These include items from Ashfield, Burwood and Strathfield Library services. We get these books transferred to the Marrickville Library branch of your choice for your pickup, and it's free.
