Marrickville Library & History Services holds collections in Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Arabic. These collections include books, DVDs, CDs, magazines and newspapers. We regularly hold information events covering a wide area of subjects including: legal, tax, lifestyle and health. Events are held in English and CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) languages for accessibility.
The ability to speak English can benefit day-to-day life, from going to the shops to making phone calls and catching a bus. Working with experienced English teachers in cooperation with Mission Australia, these weekly conversation classes improve English fluency and introduce you to new people from the local community.
Need help with writing a letter, filling out a form, creating a resume, or making a job application? Attend weekly Basic English Writing classes to help improve English writing skills for everyday tasks.
