School Environmental Management Plans

In 2001 the NSW State Government launched a new Environmental Education Policy for state schools. The new policy requires all schools to develop a School Environmental Management Plan (SEMP), incorporating strategies in three focus areas:

  • Curriculum
  • Resource Management
  • School Grounds Management

Marrickville Council's Environmental Services staff can provide much in the way of advice and assistance to local schools as they develop and implement their School Environment Management Plans.
