Cultural Planning Research Project Report

Community Consultation

In 2007 Marrickville Council embarked on a broad project to map the cultural landscape of the Marrickville area with the Cultural Planning Research Project. The results of extensive community consultation with relevant arts and creative industry sectors have been compiled into the report Marrickville Cultural Research Project 2008 - Celebrating our Diverse and Creative Community: Culture as we live it.'

Council is seeking feedback and comments on the report. The report and feedback will be used in the creation of the Cultural Plan, which will guide the future development and sustainability of Marrickville’s vibrant local culture.

The report is on public exhibition until Friday 25 July 2008. A copy of the report can be downloaded below:

A hard copy of the report is also on exhibition at Council's Citizens' Service Centre, Ground Floor, 2-14 Fisher Street, Petersham; Marrickville Library, cnr Marrickville and Petersham Roads, Marrickville; the branch libraries of St Peters (St Peters Town Hall, 39 Unwins Bridge Road, Sydenham), Dulwich Hill (12-14 Seaview Street) and Stanmore (Douglas Street).
