Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre, Enmore Park

Community Consultation: Traffic and Parking

Marrickville Council is proposing to redevelop the Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre at Enmore Park, Enmore to provide a new state-of-the-art aquatic centre including a 50m pool, learn-to-swim and leisure pools, a cafe, creche and Wellness centre (fitness and gym facilities) and improved seating, changing and administration facilities.

New concept design plans for the improved Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre were exhibited during February.  Responses are now being reviewed and will be considered during the finalization of the design.

A Traffic and Parking Study was exhibited in May/June 2008 with the design proposed for the aquatic centre at that time. Council has now completed a final Traffic and Parking Study based on the new design.

As part of our community consultation, the new draft Traffic and Parking Study report is being made available for public comment ahead of its finalization and further formal exhibition when the Development Application is submitted.

You are invited to view the draft report and provide your views and feedback which will be taken into consideration by Council in preparing the Development Application for the new aquatic centre.

The report identified there are sufficient on-street parking spaces in the surrounding area for the proposed centre but proposes a series of options to enhance parking on peak days on Thursdays and Saturdays in February.
