Notice: Catalogue Changes 2009

Marrickville Library has formed a partnership with Ashfield, Burwood and Kogarah City Libraries and the Swift Library Consortium to deliver new services via its catalogue. The first stage in this process is the upgrading of our catalogue and you may notice some changes.

Ashfield, Burwood & Kogarah City Library Collections are now included in the catalogue. On the catalogue's Search screen you will notice that the Library drop-down includes these libraries. You can search these libraries collections using this drop down. Choosing the ALL option will include all collections including Marrickville.

Please note that as a Marrickville Library member you cannot currently Place Hold on any item held at Ashfield, Burwood or Kogarah City Libraries. The full introduction of this service is planned for 2010.

Marrickville Council provides a central and branch library network offering reader and outreach services, as well as information and collection services.

These services include a variety of events, activities and initaitives for adults, young people and children including storytime, online tutoring, book clubs, internet courses, HSC lectures, school holiday activities, a home library service, computer and internet access and much more. Browse hundreds of downloadable audiobooks and eBooks! Check out and download best sellers or classics to your computer, then transfer to a portable device or burn many titles to CD to enjoy anytime, anywhere.

All you need is an internet connection and a library card. So remember to get down to your local library at Dulwich Hill, Stanmore, St Peters/Sydenham or Marrickville to join if you are not already a member.

READ on the WILD SIDE! - Summer Reading Club

The Summer Reading Club will start on 1 December so rush to your nearest Marrickville Council library and join to get a free kit! There are prizes to win, competitions to enter, party to attend and friends to make while you READ so don't miss out! The club is open to both children and youth!

Mother & Daughter Girls Night In

Scrapbooking is a craft experience that everyone can do. This is an opportunity for young people aged 11 and over to discover scrapbooking with their mum, older sister or older family friend. Please bring along at least 6 photos and be prepared to cut them up.

The above activity is for young people aged 11-18 years of age and their Mum or older friend. Bookings are essential on 9335 2173.
