Marrickville Festival

Sunday 23 October 2011 saw the Marrickville Festival take over Marrickville and Illawarra Roads for the day. Huge crowds of over 30,000 people turned out to enjoy the sunshine and warm temperatures. With over 100 stalls and stands filling the streets, the crowds were treated to a huge variety or arts, crafts foods and community services.

With over 75% of all the stalls and stands identified as locally based organisations, the festival had a truly local flavour. The range of entertainment, also almost entirely local performers from all kinds of cultural backgrounds, received tremendous support and appreciation from the huge crowds throughout the day.
