Council's Planning Services and Development Assessment sections are responsible for a range of activities and programs that shape land use and development in the local area.
Planning Services are responsible for stratgeic urban planning investigations and analysis, creation of new planning controls to guide development on future land use and development, processing of Development Applications and development of sustainable transport policies.
Development Assessment are responsible for assessing applications to construct new buildings, alter or make additions to buildings, subdivide land, change the use of a building or carry out other types of development.
