Code for Industrial DevelopmentThe Code provides planning controls for Council's existing industrial zones, and encourages new developments to pay close attention to good urban design principles, in terms of height, bulk and visual appearance. It also sets appropriate standards for other planning issues such as landscaping, setbacks, subdivision, vehicular/service delivery access and parking. A special building line setback has also been established for those properties with frontage to the Alexandra Canal. The Code was amended in 2003 to include safety and security provisions relating to industrial development.
