Public Notification - Marrickville LEP 2001 (Amendment No.35)

Rezoning of abandoned section of Johnstons Creek Road Corridor reservation

The purpose of this notification is to inform land owners and the public that the Minister for Planning has made the above mentioned plan. The plan came into effect following its publication in the Government Gazette No 84, on 4 July 2008.

As you may be aware, the plan rezones properties zoned Arterial Road and Arterial Road Widening 9 (C) Reservation within the Marrickville LEP 2001 to appropriate zonings compatible with the area, to reflect the abandonment of a part of former Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) county road reservation known as the Johnstons Creek Road Corridor Reservation. The plan rezones affected properties to another appropriate zone comparable with the uses and context of the sites.

The plan affects several hundred properties within the Marrickville local government area.
