Wedding Venues
Petersham Town Hall and Marrickville Town Hall, both in Sydney's Inner West, are two of the finest wedding venues in Sydney and are available for hire at reasonable rates.
Both Petersham and Marrickville Town Hall each has a grand entry, large foyers, a sprung wooden dance floor, tables, chairs, large kitchens and dressing rooms, and are close to parks and public transport. These venues are ideal for formal and informal celebrations, and can be configured to suit up to 525 people at a sit-down dinner dance. Wheelchair access is from the front.
Weddings from diverse cultural backgrounds have taken place in these magnificent town halls, which are easily accessible from most parts of Sydney.

 Marrickville Town Hall
303 Marrickville Road, Marrickville
Marrickville Town Hall opened in 1922, and was at the time the second-largest venue in Sydney after Sydney Town Hall. The main hall features a wooden parquetry floor, high ornate ceilings and wood panelling. The venue's heritage architecture is an elegant backdrop for weddings, balls, exhibitions, fundraising events and celebrations.
Hall hire includes free use of the 550 chairs, 70 rectangular tables, kitchen equipment, and foyer. Self-catering is accepted and no additional surcharges apply.
- Location: At the heart of Sydney's Inner West and 15 minutes from central Sydney, at the southern end of Marrickville Road shopping strip. Near Jarvie Park, Marrickville Park, and McNeilly Park, Marrickville.
- Access: 8 minutes drive from M5 exit at Kingsford-Smith Airport; 10 minutes from Domestic Airport. 5 minutes from either the Princes Highway at Tempe, or Parramatta Road at Leichhardt.
Marrickville Station is 10 minutes' walk. 423, L23, 425, and 426 buses stop directly outside the Hall.

- Size: Main Hall is 27m long and 20m wide x 9.2m high ceiling. Stage is 6.6m x 9.4m.
- Power: 3 phase and 15amp power.
- Kitchen: 13 metre bench, oven, cooktop, cooking plate, warmer, 3 door refrigerator, urn.

 Petersham Town Hall
107 Crystal Street, Petersham
Petersham Town Hall is a renowned art-deco building which opened in July 1938. It has a sprung wooden dance floor, widely credited as one of Sydney's best dance floors, and walls with a decorative paint finish above polished maple lower panels.
Hall hire includes free use of the 460 chairs, 70 rectangular tables, kitchen equipment, and foyer. Self-catering is accepted and no additional surcharges apply.
- Location: In the heart of Sydney's Inner West, 15 minutes from central Sydney. Pretty Maundrell Park is at the end of the street to the side of the Hall.
- Access: 10 minutes drive from M5 exit at Kingsford-Smith Airport; 15 minutes from Domestic Airport. 10 minutes from the Princes Highway at Tempe, 1 minute from Parramatta Road at Leichhardt.
Petersham Station is 5 minutes' walk. 428, L28 and 445 buses stop on the corner of New Canterbury Roads and Gordon Streets at Petersham. 412 and 445 buses stop at Petersham Station.
Disabled access is via a ramp at the main entry at the front of the building.
