Parking Permits
Citizens can apply for parking permits if they live in one of the parking precincts. This allows you to be exempt from sign-posted time limits.
Find out if you can apply for Residential Parking by viewing Council's online Interactive Mapping Program.
View tips below on how to use the Interactive Mapping Program.
- scroll down to Residential Parking Map
- click on all three boxes
- click on apply
There are five types of parking permits available:
- Resident Parking Permits - are valid for a financial year, with renewal in June. Citizens can apply for up to 2 permits.
- Residents' Visitors Parking Permits - are only issued to permanent residents to lend to the visitor and are valid for up to 2 months. Permits are required to be displayed on the vehicle's dashboard.
- Business Parking Permits - are valid for a financial year, with renewal in June. Businesses can apply for 1 permit.
- Disabled Parking Permits and Signs - Citizens can apply for disabled parking space outside their premises. Anyone with a mobility parking permit may also use the carspace.
- Replacement Parking Permits - Citizens may apply to replace their permit if their vehicle has been sold, stolen or damaged, and they have another vehicle to replace it.
